The what of the original Endeavour was to see the transit of Venus.

The where of the original Endeavour was "Terra Australis Incognita". Lest you think this adventure was about new worlds and exciting oppurtunities may I remind you that the means justify the ends!

Arriving at Terra Incognita the Endeavour ran into lots and lots of trouble.

Endeavour did make it back home after all the trouble (or did it) but El Capitan in the long run did not.

Its as if the Gods play with toys and like to sail ships on dimensional seas, but of course they're freemen, above the flood of petty cares. Rama is Seventh Captain of Vishnu's enterprise and as a Freeman can explore the nature of anything he wants to. Mutiny however would imply deposing the Captain!
